CRAIGSLIST. Seriously — people are eager to get rid of their shit. Tons of students that live around me got great deals on TVs and furniture and appliances and stuff. Check out the “free shit” section or something too. Usually it’s crap but sometimes people are just dying to get things off their hands.

Just look at discount furniture warehouses. They’ll have the same quality of furniture, but often there will be a small scuff or something that gets them marked WAAAAY down!
